One of the largest suppliers of fixings and screws in the country is to headquarter its operations in Nantwich, after the company confirmed an £800,000 investment into a new warehouse.

The 21,000 sq ft site is being built by TIMco, an independent company that was founded in 1972.

The state of the art facilities will help the firm to expand its operations, after demand for TIMco’s products had seen a significant increase. It will also use the new base to augment its present range with a host of new products.

The warehouse flooring warehouse flooring will eventually provide capacity for about 3,500 different lines. It will also ensure the supply chain, protecting the company, its customers and its suppliers from distribution and logistical issues.

The managing director of TIMco, Simon Midwood, is confident that the new facility will allow the company to increase the level of commitment it offers to its customer base, explaining:

“The extra room will allow us to offer new and exciting products as well as provide an even better service to our customers.”

The new warehouse will also see the creation of five new permanent positions in the local area. That will bring the total workforce at the firm to 80, which is another aspect Midwood is proud of for the company founded in Chester. He explained:

“We’re also thrilled to be able to bring more employment opportunities in the local area and the development is a further illustration of our commitment to Nantwich and Cheshire.”

As well as fixings and screws, the firm also supplies fastenings, nails, and power tool accessories.
