The office fit out office fit out of a historic Edwardian building in West Yorkshire has recently been completed, with an office offering modern facilities having been installed.

The project, at Sandsgate in Farsley, cost £500,000 and saw 9,000 square feet of space transformed. Formerly used as the admin office for a family mill, the site sits amongst picturesque scenery.

Most recently, Yorkshire Television’s popular series Emmerdale and Heartbeat have been filmed in the area.

Moving into some of the modern space is said to be a well-known UK technology firm. The company has taken over 2,000 square feet of space, and the deal comes on the back of three previous agreements in April, which has seen residency approach 100 per cent.

Talking about the work, the development company’s managing director, John Gaunt, said:

“The new letting is the culmination of the meticulous refurbishment of the Sandsgate building, which is now complete. It is a vindication of our belief in Farsley as an attractive out-of- town business location, even when faced with direct city centre competition.

“With over 85% of the first phase of the refurbished Sandsgate building now occupied, we are now releasing a further 1,500 square feet ground floor offices with own front door access direct to car park this month.”

Gaunt went on to explain that the first floor would be used to host the Sunny Bank Mills Gallery, with arts events taking place regularly through the year. It is hoped that the new gallery space, along with the new commercial facility, will help regenerate the Farsley area.
