A £1.1 million contract has been awarded for another office fit out office fit out in the world famous Royal Liver Building in Liverpool.

The third and ninth floors will be subject to the refurb, which comes on the back of a successful refit of the eighth floor. Due to necessity however, both floors will have to be completed by February next year.

It is the third such project for the iconic building, which makes up one of the Liverpool waterfront’s Three Graces.

A monument to Britain’s maritime traditions, the three buildings line up side by side at the Pier Head, making an imposing site that first time visitors to Britain would have been awe struck by.

From left to right, the Royal Liver Building is the first of the Graces, most noted for the presence of the fictional ‘liver’ birds sitting atop the twin towers of the building. The Cunard building is located in the centre of the three buildings, and was home to the Cunard Line shipping firm since 1914. Finally, on the far right is the Port of Liverpool Building.

The latest refit will be in keeping with the previous works to the building, in so much that they will be designed with best practice principles in mind, relying on the latest technology.

The office layout will encourage positive working too, likely through the placement of office partitions to help with making the space flow.

Now offering key office space close to the city centre of Liverpool, the Liver Building is presently owned by Royal London Mutual Insurance Society.
